Went to doctors today and was told i have BV secondary to STRESS????From: JESSIKA (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 22 Aug 2003 14:42:09 -0500 (CDT)
Hi i posted the message re: excessive discharge and all STDs ruled out.....I went to the doctors today to get a copy of my test results for STDs that included HIV, syphillis, chlamydia, Ghonnorhea and Herpes..I mentioned to the nurse that i had some itching in my vagina and i wanted the doctor to see if it might be a yeast infection cause thats what i thought it was...So the doc comes in my room and looks at my file...now i have been there numerous times for treatments for HPV, Bacterial Vaginosis, and Yeast Infections..She told me that im paranoid and that worrying about this just makes my vaginal area that much more sensetive to infection. So she took a sample anyways, and she said that i have BV secondary to stress....What does this mean actually?? that me being stressed caused the BV infection??? She gave me 4 500MG of flagyl and suggested that i do something for the stress..what are good stress reducers?? can i take any kind of pills?? I really want to stop worrying about this...If i keep getting BV infections can i treat my male partner?? Someone please respond, i really need to stop worrying about this stuff.
