-- Hi Hazel. my situation is similar to yours. I've been dealing with an ever enlarging uterus for two years now and now I have two small fibroids and suspected adenomyosis. All my paps have been normal etc. I really only have slight pain each month with ovulation following treatment for an ovarian cyst. No heavy or painful bleeding, cramps etc. My doctor now suggest Lupron injections to shrink the uterus enough to avoid abdominal surgery for a hysterectomy. I'm 46 now and I've been procrastinating on whether to have a hysterectomy. Because my uterus continues to grow and menopause seems far off for me, I'm reconsidering the hysterectomy, but not Lupron. The side effects are scary to say the least. Your uterus will likely continue to grow under the influence of estrogen as mine has. Good luck to you. I'm not sure about insurance issues and I'm in CA.
