im going nuts cuz im recovering from a lap and hystoscopy and im still bleeding a bit as i would normally do.. but i tried some Gold Bond powder the other day to ease some itching on my anus and i woke up the next day noticing i was itching around my vulvae.. i hadn't used powder in some time because when i did, i would always get yeast infections but when i told my GI doc this he laughed and said he never heard of that.. so i used the powder in confidence and now my vulvae and clitoris are so swollen and itchy..almost painful..cold water helps and i've tried sleeping bare bottomed.. so the swelling went down enough that i can see my vagina now but everythings still very dry, itchy and sore.. its been like 4 days now!!! i saw my GYN yesterday for a post-op and he said that i should just check for a discharge and let him know.. but i can't tell if there is one being that im bleeding!! and my periods coming so ill have to wait even longer! its driving me crazy.. do u think this could be an allergic reaction or an infection.. theres no abnormal smell or whitish thick discharge at all.. im actually very dry except for the bleeding.. i also have a history of PID and im scared i could be getting it again.. should i wait to see if it'll get better? its been a few days now with no relief.. how long do allergic reactions last???
