my periods weren't regular until i was put on Birth control pills and it's totally normal for irregular periods as a teenage girl such as periods coming at different times during the month. However, it sounds like she's missing quite a few months and this definately requires the attention of a gynecologist. Many factors can contribute to missing a period including unbalanced hormones, stress, drug use, eating disorders, different deficiencies in the blood and so on. So make sure u check with a general doctor first and then if her blood work is normal, she may need to see a Gynecologist. Good luck!
