Well, I don't know what "Mixed Echo" means, but if the cysts are functional cysts (simple cysts), then it's normal to wait that long to do another ultrasound. I am dealing with a similar situation. I have a 7cm functional cyst on my right ovary. I found out due to tremendous pains which prompted an immediate visit. We decided to wait 6 weeks to see if the cyst will regress, grow, or burst. Yes, unfortunately, sometimes they burst and cause even more pain. I go back for an ultrasound on Monday, but though the pain is not as severe, I do still feel it. My doctor stated that if the pain got worse while in the waiting stage to go directly to the ER. I don't know what to tell you other than usually functional cysts will go away within 60 days, but occassionally they do not and require surgery. I understand your concerns, and I wish you the best.
