Thanks Ann, It is believed that estrogen in Prometrium is causing heart attacks by causing blood clots. The only thing you can do to reduce your risk is to practice good diet/exercise habits and stay on hormones for the shortest possible time and at the lowest possible dose. If you don't have terrible menopause symptoms, don't take Prometrium.
