The patch might not have the best dose for you to use it this way; you might have more success if you switch to a pill or the Nuvaring. You put in the ring, wear it for three weeks, and then either take it out to have a period or put in a new one to avoid your period. Some women don't have a lot of success with suppressing their periods completely - it may work better to try having a period once every three months for a while. Or try to go continuous as long as possible, then stop for a week if you start bleeding and start again.
