She has been taking her medicine and feels better but is still experiencing discomfort. If anyone has had this can you please let me know if this is typical, does it take several weeks for this to clear up? The doctor suggested she get a colonoscopy done which she is refusing to do. She feels that since she was diagnosed with diverticulitis there is no need for the colonoscopy. I have been reading that many times colon cancer is misdiagnosed as diverticulitis, and now I'm worried. Am I over reacting or should I pressure her to go get the colonoscopy done?
