Very worried - What could cause this? Is it serious?

I am a 41 year old with two children. Prior to conceiving my eldest child I had 3 miscarriages, short menstrual cycles as well as unexplained infertility. Between Miscarriage 3 and my successful pregnancy I discovered a large polyp by chance– it was a perfect imprint of my cervix, uterus and fallopian tubes. A biopsy afterwards confirmed that my uterine lining was full of microscopic polyps and that my uterus tilts backwards. However I went on to have successful pregnancies in 1996 and 1998. Afterwards my cycle went back to about 26 days In the past couple of years my period bleeding has become extremely heavy (I need to change a super “night-time” pad at least every hour), blood sometimes gushes out when I stand up climb stairs etc and occasionally, during the past 6 months, very long gaps approx 40 days between periods,

However I have now not had a period for 60 days (although my contraceptive computer Persona showed an ovulation on day 11), my lower abdomen has become very hard and bloated (new stretch marks have appeared suddenly) with cramp like pains down my thighs, I can feel a pressure like pain in my cervix, back and butt. I also seem to have developed irritable bowel type symptoms. I am also taking Medrol for arthritis but this has reduced from 32 mg/day 6 months ago to 4-6mg now. I had a Pap smear earlier this year which was fine

My question is – could these symptoms be caused by another polyp? Or the medication? Or something else? Would these symptoms be regarded as urgent/an emergency? I’m really worried as I live in a country with state organised healthcare and am unlikely to get an appointment before 2004 if it the problem is not urgent.
