You should definitely take your daughter to see a doctor. First, they will want to rule out pregnancy if she is sexually active. Please make sure that they don't just sweep your concerns under a rug. I have just discovered that I may have polycystic ovarian syndrome. It is a syndrome in which the ovaries create cysts that do not pass and apparently it also has something to do with a hormonal imbalance. According to the research that I have done so far, if my doctor's had really looked at what was going on then, I may not be having all the problems that I am having right now. I am definitely NOT trying to diagnose your child, but please don't let anyone just give your daughter some medication without first ascertaining the root cause of her problem.
