16-year old has not had period for 4 months

My wife and I are wondering if there is cause for concern because our 16-year-old daughter has not had a period for four months. It's now August. She had her last one on April 5. Before that her last period was January. And before that it was more or less normal (monthly) since she began menstruating at 12 or 13. In April we were on spring break and she was probably more relaxed than all the other recent months when she didn't have a period. Could this be stress-related? Is there anything we can do, or need to do? She hasn't seen a doctor about this. She is not uncomfortable, and is a pretty normal kid. Thanks for any advice about possible causes, etc.
