Robyn, Do you know if the friend with the TAH kept her cervix? If she did she had less stitches than you did at the top of your vagina, that could be one reason. A good place to go with questions like this is http://www.hystersisters.com, there are no docs there but there are a lot of women that have had hysterectomies. You can find out if anybody else had the same experience you are having. Good Luck!
