Alisa, I'm going to be blunt here. I don't care what anyone says about the size of a cyst...if it causes pain, it's NOT normal. There are normal ovarian cysts, and abnormal ovarian cysts. (Normal cysts don't cause pain.) The only way to really know what they are is through surgery. I dealt with doctors dismissing my pain for 7 years, when I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis 2 years ago. I had a cysts on both of my ovaries. Don't take this lightly. If you're having pain, you need to get to the bottom of it. Find a new doctor, because this one you saw is not going to take you seriously. Find someone who understand your health matters.
