DOCTOR ONLY PLEASEFrom: ann (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 31 Jul 2003 15:17:43 -0500 (CDT)
My endometrial biopsy(age 53) came back saying that there was necrosed stroma tissue and the dr is not sure if it is from a degenerating fibroid or a sarcoma. It was almost impossible to get the endo biopsy due to fibroids. He could not see the cervix but was able to find the opening and do a pap and endo biopsy. I do not want to go into a hysterectomy without knowing more of what is going on. In a hospital setting under anesthesia with special tools, can the dr manipulate the uterous to where he could do a DNC, hysterscope, or saline Ultrasound? And my other question, if it is a degenerating fibroid, will it resolve itself over time? THANK YOU.
