lower right quadrant & lower back pain, several negative tests, low grade fever and pain persists 2 weeks. From: anonymous@obgyn.netThu, 31 Jul 2003 12:56:15 -0500 (CDT)
My problem began with generalized lower abdominal and lower back pain. Swollen and tender lymph nodes at groin, under left arm, left neck. Low grade fever, nausea, some loss of appetite, pain on defecation. I first went to Planned Parenthood (I have no insurance) and was examined. He found cervical tenderness and tenderness over the fallopian tubes. Testing was negative for all STD's. There is no discharge. This doc referred me to ER for further evaluation. The ER doc ordered a CT, CBC, etc. but only said "well I can't find anything, but here's some Vicodin. Maybe you have a viral infection of some kind." I am not taking the Vicodin, as I didn't go there for drugs, but to find out what was wrong with me. The symptoms have continued and remained much the same, except the abdominal pain has moved to my right lower quadrant. It is very tender to deep touch. I have never had problems of this nature before, and am generally a healthy individual. Does anyone have any suggestions/comments? Any such would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
