Hi Tamara--
I'll second the opinion below. I have a hiatal hernia and GERD and
virtually anything you take for the pain of your menstrual cycle will
cause the pain you are describing.
Please get a referal to someone who will examine you to see if you do
have a hernia and then decide on the treatment. There are many great
medications out there to lessen the pain of the Gerd and relieve the
symptoms of a hernia. But as it is not gas but stomach acid that is the
problem, you are not helping yourself out there.
Once you get the right treatment going (if you do have GERD or a hernia)
the pain may subside.
