Cervical ectropion and bleedingFrom: Louise (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 30 Jul 2003 19:49:05 -0500 (CDT)
I have been experiencing bleeding between periods. I am on Ortho Cept and have been for quite some time with no trouble. Now, I seem to be bleeding every week. I went to my doctor and she thinks that it may be caused by my cervical ectropion. I am concerned about this because I have heard that ectropion can cause bleeding after intercourse, but my bleeding seems to have no coorelation to intercouse. I could just be laying down or sitting and it happens. Could my doctor be right? I am just nervous that it might be something else that we are not addressing (like the blood isn't coming from the cervix at all) I would really appreciate your advice. She thinks LEEP may help but it sounds dreadful!
