ovarian cyst returnedFrom: Gloria (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 28 Jul 2003 17:43:05 -0500 (CDT)
On Oct 2002 my onc/gyn told me that the complex cysts he had been watching for several mths were gone and that he would turn my case back over to my gyn. On his last report he said the right ovary has areas of variable echogenicity within the ovary but I cannot identify a discreet mass of cyst. I suspect this is the residua of a resolving cyst. Nine mths later (two weeks ago) I had an altra-sound, right ovary 1.8 x 1.4 cm complex cyst, contains significant amount of internal echo. It has a regular smooth border. Left ovary has 1.6cm complex cyst with many strands of thick and thin septations within. Neither cysts has significant vasular flow. I had breast cancer two yrs ago and have never been pregant. My grandmother died of ovarian cancer at age 49 and her daugher of breast cancer at 68. My gyn wants to wait three mths before doing more tests. My endometrium lining measured 1.7 cm, after a late period (6 wks). I'm peri-meno and started my period at age 10. I would appreciate your opinion very much. Thank you for all your time. Gloria
