Hi Everyone,

My name is Louise I'm 25 from Liverpool UK. I had a baby in January 2001, it was an easy birth with no problems. I developed PND in September 2001 it started coming on me in June 2001 but I ignored it and before I knew it I was having panic attacks and feeling depressed. I did have a lot of stress at the time with moving house and not getting along too well with my mother.

Ever since I have been a bit up and down, I suffered with bloating, palpatations, anxiety, stress, panic attacks all of which have subsided thankfully.

Since I have had PND I have suffered from a terrible dry mouth, I have had no saliva at all. In May 2003 I started getting a terrible taste in my mouth, it is like a bitter taste, I have no words to describe it but it is like eating burnt toast it isn't very nice. This happened when I was on a period, it was very mild so I brushed it to the back of my mind.

In June 2003 I started to suffer from a burning tongue and mouth and the taste again was terrible, again this started during my period and the taste peaked around day 12 of my circle and lasted on and off until day 16 which by that time I had gone through ovulation. Also when I go through ovulation I get slight back pain and cramps which feel like mild period pains.

Now this month (July) hasn't been too bad, the burning mouth has eased and the taste isn't quite so bad but it is still there its like burning acid taste especially around ovulation. My saliva has now returned as well.

I was just wondering if this was a sign of my hormones returning to normal after having PND. I also have a leaking breast on the left hand side, I've had this since I was 16 but I've noticed that it seems to be stopping. I just thought I'd mention it incase it was relevant.

Has anyone been through the same thing? Any advice or help wouuld be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Louise :o)
