My question is that my period is very heavy on the second and third day, it has been like that for quite awhile now. But this month it was very heavy on the second and third day and then there was nothing on the fourth day, on the fifth day I started with a pain in my left side and it went down my leg and into my back, it lasted for about 21/2 hours and then I started with my period again. The pain went away for the rest of that day and then on the sixth day that evening it started again but no period again, this pain lasted for 31/2 hours. Then when I woke up on the seventh day I had a little pain but then my period came back again not alot but enough, the pain isn't that bad today but I can still feel it some. I am 43 years old. I hope you can tell me what is causing this pain during my period. I know during ovulation there sometimes is pain but I am not ovulating yet. THANK YOU!
