Previous message: Geri: "high FSH" Can anyone recommend a trusted gynecologist/oncologist in the Richmond, VA or northern Virginia/Washington DC area for a second opinion? Also, any gynecologist/surgeons experienced in total laprascopic hysterectomy in these areas? I am a post menopausal woman who began vaginal bleeding several months ago. An D&C shows atypical cells in the uterus; an earlier vaginal sonogram identified a 3.2 cm mass in the uterus. The GYN is recommending an abdominal hysterectomy within the next month; having no children I am "too small" for laprascopic vaginal hysterectomy so I would like to explore total laprascopic hysterectomy as an option if the surgery turns out to be necessary.
