Subject: Black Kohash and hot flashes
Dear Dr.: I have recently gone off my hormone Estrace. I am now suffering hot flashes. I went on Black Kohash I bought at Wal Mart. I have been on it one week. The hot flashes have increased to the day and night but I don't seem to have any headaches which I have had almost all my life. Does the black kohash have anything to do with the decrease in headaches and the increase in hot flashes? Is there something else I can take to help these hot flashes or do I have to go back on the Estrace. I have no uterus and only ovaries and I am 59 1/2 years old. Healthy otherwise. Thanks, Bonnie Martin
