Recurring BV

Hello, I found your email through internet searches for information on BV. I have been diagnosed with BV almost every month for the last three years minus about 10 months for child birth. I met my husband three and half years ago and have had BV ever since we've been sexually active. I notice it after my period is over and every time we have intercourse. I have gone to three different doctors and my husband and I have both been tested for every STD there is, we're both clean. My last doctor decided that my husband should be treated as well. We both took one week's worth of prescription and I thought it was gone. Then my period came and now it's back. I went back to the doctor and she has now given us two weeks worth of prescription and a dose of Diflucan to take the day after finishing the Metrodiazonale for the minor yeast I have as well. Is there a connection between my period and the BV? What are they missing in this diagnosis?

Any info you could give me on this would be greatly appreciated. I'm tired of feeling dirty and this smell...

Please help.
