I have always had painful cramps during menstration. Lately (within the past year and a half) the cramps have increased to the point of tears and vocalizations on my part. My periods are not heavy. They are rather light, comparitively. The discharge is usually very dark brown with many clots ranging in size. This month has been extremely worrisome since I spotted for about 9 days; stopped spotting for a week and began spotting again for three days before my actual period began. With the beginning of the bleeding came the pain again. I am not on any birth control method. Should I be concerned, worried? Should I visit my doctor? Or would this be considered routine.
