Re: [Birth Control] birth control pill questionFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 21 Jul 2003 14:09:49 -0700 (PDT)
Usually, or at least is what I was told and what I've heard, you're supposed to start the pack on the Sunday after you start your period. The brand of pills should have a website that you go to that would tell you for sure how to take that particular kind. Hope this helps some. Bertha Ledesma <anonymous@obgyn.net> wrote:Hi my name is Bertha and I have a question. I recently got married (may) and started using the pill (21 pack). I remember my Dr. told me to take the pill 5 days after my period but it just didn't seem right after asking many of my friends how they were taking theirs. So today I called the Dr. and was able to speak with his secretary/receptionist she told me to start taking the pill 5 days after the starting day of my period. I already had my period this month and also ended and I did not take the pill as I should have, according to the receptionist. I got my period on the 11th and it ended on the 16th which was when I should have started the pill again. The receptionist told me to start it today. I had sex the 17, 19 and 20th should I be worried? Can you tell me if the way Im taking the pill is right or wrong? thanks, I would appreciate your response. Bertha SBC Yahoo!
