Please help me. I tried to trick mother nature and she got me back......GoodFrom: Michelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 16 Jul 2003 14:56:24 -0500 (CDT)
I had a baby March 6th and was not interested in going on the pill afterwards. I resumed my normal menstral flow and I have pretty consistant 28-30 day cycle. I started my period on Wednesday June 25th My next period is due to arrive: Wednesday July 23rd. On this day, my husband and I are set to leave to Prince Edward Island for over a week. This will be my first vacation ever. The last thing I want is my period. doctor gave me two packs of BCPills and told me to take them back to back and not wait 7 days in between. Then I was to stop them. I was on the BCP 9 years ago and she just prescribed me the same pills. Started the first pack of pills 6 days into my last period and everything has been fine. About a week ago I started spotting a very tiny bit and it coincided with when I would normally ovulate so I didn't pay much attention. NOW, I feel like I am on my period. Today it got worse. I have slight cramps, bloating and its heavier....This really blew up in my face. I can't get into DR before I leave so please help me. Should I: stop pill, and hope that my period comes in the next day or so.. that way it will be done by the time we leave? Will my period come now if I stop the pill? Should I just follow it through and just take the two packs back to back? I guess what I want to really know is if I stop the pills now (been on them for 2 weeks, will I get my period quickly therefore avoiding it for my trip? What should I do
