i was just diagnosed with IC last week. i'm now taking elmiron to rebuild the bladder lining. also, my doc gave me a list of foods that i should avoid because of the way they irritate the bladder. i'm trying really hard to modify my diet so that i won't have to do med treatment forever. they gave me a website for ichelp.org or something like that. i can't remember what it is. but go into a search engine and look for it. it has the whole thing about diet.

also, are you being treated by a urologist? try to find one who is qualified to treat IC. i had a cystoscopy under general anesthesia, and they found lots of inflammation and stuff. i also had a urodynamics test. the results were that i couldn't hold even 2 ounces without pain. i know she wants to do more stuff, but i don't know what it is yet.

(((hugs))) ic sucks. and the diet plan sucks too. but i'd rather watch what i eat than be in pain all the time.
