Alexandra, You don't say how long ago you started on the pill, was it just this week? What pill are you on? If you just started this week and this is your first month you should expect a somewhat normal period. Next month your period will probably start between the 2nd and 4th placebo pill. It may take your body 3 months to get adjusted to being on the pill. After that you will probably notice that your periods are lighter and shorter in duration, a positive side effect of the pill.
