Jessica, what birth control pill are you on? Also, it takes many women several months to adjust to skipping periods, and sometimes the hormone levels aren't right in the pill for a particular woman to take them back-to-back, even if she never had problems with them while taking them normally. Listen to your body. If you think you should have your period after your next pack, then do it. Since you took two packs back-to-back, you should have your period one week sooner than you would have without skipping that first period. Maybe this will be enough to avoid bleeding on your vacation? There's really no telling when your spotting will stop, and spotting (that stop and go, light then heavy) can be much more difficult to deal with than a full-blown period.
