laparoscopy

After having barium enema and multiple ultrasounds with normal results, Gyn has decided to do a laparoscopy to help diagnose pelvic pain, thinking that it is possibly endo. If there's anything there, he's going to use a cauterizing technique to get rid of it, unless there are major complications that require a more extensive procedure. As well, he is going to inject a dye to check for any blockages that might hamper fertility (I'm 35 and have never tried to become pregnant yet). I realize from reading the forum that recovery time varies depending on the patient and extent of the procedure, but still have a few questions: 1. Is cauterizing the norm for dealing with endo? 2. What is involved with the dye test and are there any risks from that? 3. Is it advisable to go to camp the second week after the procedure if there are no complications up to that point? I say camp because it is in the remote north with a doctor being over an hour away by rough roads. Swimming etc? 4. Is sex advisable during that same time period or do you play it by ear? 5. Is there anything that I should be preparing for pre-post surgery to make the recovery time easier? Thanks in advance!
