abnormal Pap/ bleeding after intercourseFrom: Paula (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 11 Jul 2003 08:05:04 -0500 (CDT)
I am 33 years old and have 2 children by vag delivery. I had my tubes tied 6 years ago. I have recently been experiencing pelvic pain on and off and some bleeding after intercourse. I just found out today that my Pap was abnormal. I had an ultrasound that did not show anything abnormal. The doctor's office just said I needed to come back in three months to repeat the Pap. I am confused as to what this could be? They said it may just be an infection but what kind of infection would cause this and if it is an infection shouldn't they be treating it with something. I am very confused and just would like to have a couple of ideas as to what this may be. I have just started seeing this gynecologist and I just am not totally confident in him yet. Are there any other tests that should be performed? Thanks.
