Endo usually does NOT show up on an ultrasound or an MRI (in some cases, I personally think it DOES). Adenomyosis is more likely to show up on an MRI because it grows in to the muscle (wall) of the uterus. This is just what I have been told. I think my ovarian "cyst" that showed up on U/S was in fact Endo because when I had my Lap there was no cyst but the ovary was a mess with Endo!
