Lo-OgestrelFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netSat, 5 Jul 2003 16:23:49 EDT
My doctor put me on a short term regimen of Lo-ogestrel to prevent my period for an upcoming trip. She told me to take them uninterrupted (no placebo pills- go right to the next pack). I started them on May 25th and got some breakthrough bleeding beginning June 25th ( the day I would have been due for my period). The bleeding has been light but still continues and is getting a little heavier. I am leaving in 2 weeks and don;t know what to do. The doctor said I could bleed for 1-3 weeks. She said if I stop the pills now I could get my period anywhere from within a few days to 2 weeks , which is no good either. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you.
