There are many options before doing a hysterectomy. Mirena is a good option. You will not put on weight gain or be depressed. You can also have an ablation of the endometrium, i.e to remove the endometrium through an hysteroscopy. The posop is much better, there are less complications and you do not get a scar in your body.
