GP visit-endo question-now blood in urineFrom: annie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 29 May 2003 16:46:42 -0500 (CDT)
I had originally posted a pre-GP visit question regarding pain in lower left side. Given what I had posted, was recommended that I ask fo OB/GYN referal and possible laproscopy to rule out endometriosis. GP didn't even want to consider endo as my day 2 pain during period is normal, I'm on the pill and have been for years. The pain in my left side is not being considered as possible endo symptom. GP wants to conduct barium enema and consider IBS. Told GP about how when I went off pill a few years ago it felt like someone was trying to pull my ovaries out through my belly button, but to no avail. I am hypothyroid (on synthroid), but with stress of teachin had put tiredness down to that (as with headaches). This cyclical pain I can't ignore now as it is affecting work. At this visit, there was apparently blood in the urine-this was not there two months ago and I have no pain upon urinating. Any suggestions? I'm beginning to be frustrated:o)
