I went to the gyn today and he said that since my period came a few days after the ultrasound, that is probably why the endometrium was thickened. He examined me and said my uterus was slightlu enlarged and irregular but didn't feel that was a problem. We discussed my history and he said he felt my irregular periods were due to PCOS- which I have suspected for a long time- it was the reason I had the ultrasound although that dr said I did not have pcos- He wasn't going to do anything since I am not wanting more children and then we discussed the fact that I am hairy in places I shouldn't be and he said he could give a pill that would help me have periods every month or I could take a hormone and not have to have a period again- He felt that was the best way to go and gave me activella- I have done a lot of research on pcos and I can't find activella as a treatment for pcos- I will call him back tomorrow but right now I do not know if it is something i need to take the rest of my life and I understand the risks involved in HRT and I don't like them much. Should I try for a 2nd opinion or what? Thank you-
