Jen,

I recently had a lap assisted vagnial hysterectomy,salpingo-oopherectomy (he took it all!!) with 240 gm uterus (typically around 70 to 80 gms). According to pathology, he had to cut it in six pieces because of the size. He stated I did loose more blood than he had anticipated because of this but it did not cause any complications at all. I went home the following day and was back to work in a little less than four weeks. The recovery was very smooth and I feel SOOOOOOO much better!

Hope this helps and best of luck to you!!
