It could be. I had this after my hysterectomy. But thankfully, it was actually the nerves regenerating that had been damaged. Didn't last too long,...maybe 6 months. My dr did state [when I brought up the itching] that only time will tell if it is nerve damage or nerve healing.He did say that if the itchiness ocurrs within 6 weeks, it is a sign of the tissues/ muscles etc.,... healing after surgery.
