Tubal Ligation & Odd Smell

I had a tubal ligation about a month ago. No complications or issues. Or so I thought.

Shortly after I had the tubal done, I met a wonderful guy and we started dating. Since then we have become intimate and I noticed a couple times that he shys away from oral sex. Tonight, I asked him why and was hurt to find out he "doesn't like the smell". I was so embarrassed when he told me but somewhat confused because prior partners, I have been with, didn't seem to have an issue with this and I haven't noticed a difference in the smell either which is something most women quickly pick up on when they have some sort of infection.

I am really concerned that it is my own distinct smell that repulses him but then thought it might have something to do with the recent surgery.

Is it possible for vaginal smells to change after having a tubal ligation? Could the "bad" smell be an after effect of the surgery? And will it, eventually, go away?
