Hi, this last month I missed one pill and noticed two days later, and made up that pill plus taking the one for that day plus taking one extra (for no reason). the next day i spotted heavily and continued spotting for the next four-five days (all the while taking the last of my pink pills). the spotting stopped when i began the placebo pills and i never got a full blown period. i am supposed to begin my next month of pills this sunday and have taken a preg test (neg) to make sure everything is okay. these are my questions: 1) my doctor told me that i would be "safe/protected" by the day i started taking my active pills again? is this true even though i did not get a full blown period and have been taking placebos since last sunday? 2) why did i not get a full blown period and if not could i have ovulated during the placebo week? 3) is this normal since i am only three months into taking alesse and my first period was lite (only 2 days) and my second was heavy (5 days)? Did the missed pill and make up pills mess up this months period schedule and will everything go back to being regulated this next month. 4) mainly, am i protected for having intercourse starting sunday? i know these are a lot of questions, but this is my body and future i am dealing with and want to have full information.
