Help!!! At my fist ultra sound at 18 weeks - my doctor told me that there are certain "markers" that they look for and they found something that may be a link to downs, which they called is "ventricular papillary muscle foci". Everything else with the ultra sound was normal (head, eyes, neck). My AFP can back normal/negative. My doctor tells me that that at my age (29) the changes of me having a child with downs is 1 out of 952. An amino would tell us if it was downs or not, but I'm scared to do it because of the changes of losing it if it was normal? HAS ANYONE ELSE GONE THROUGH THIS?????
