Ask for a Urogynecological evaluation first. Lack of perineal support does not cause uterine prolapse. Damage to the supporting ligaments of the uterus is what leads to prolapse. This damage is most often caused by pregnancy. Episiotomy does not destroy the perineum. perhaps inadequate repair of the episiotomy or several subsequent deliveries could do it. Prolapse is very common and it is most common if there were many pregnancies.
