Vaginal repair

My gyn is proposing vaginal repair to correct a uterine prolapse. Her testing has indicated that my episiotomy destroyed my perineum which is no long there. This lack of support is causing the prolapse. Are there other options, it this common and where can I go to get more information about this? THank you!
