What do you do to find a good ob/gyn?

Just curious. I know lots of people ask a friend, but what if you are new to an area and don't have friends yet? This is what I do, I look online. I do some research, find out who is in my insurance group first, and where they went to school. Next, I look online and see who is listed where. For instance, the American Association of Pro-Life Obgyns has a website ( http://www.aaplog.org ) and the Christian Medical and Dental Association has a website ( http://www.cmdahome.org ). Also, the website http://www.omsoul.com has some docs too. I see if any of my prospective docs are on these, and if so, those are the ones I try out. (I also usually prefer male docs, so I can narrow it down that way too) My current ob/gyn is listed on 2 of these groups (aaplog and cmda). My previous ob/gyn was on the other site. I do this to make sure we share the same convictions so that we are in agreement when it comes to treatment. What do/did you do to find your ob/gyn?
