Palpitations, chest pain stop breathing while going to sleepFrom: anita (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 18 May 2003 09:03:43 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, I am a 30 yr old female, diagnosed with hashimotos 5 days back. I have been prescribed thyroid hormones, which I have NOT begun taking as yet. My t4 t4 are normal and tsh is 8. Very high Antimicrosomal 4000, where less than 100 is normal I get palpitations when I am trying to sleep and startle awake feeling like I have forgotten to breath. This happens both during the night and day dozens of times before going to sleep. Many times. Some nights I dont sleep at all. It used to happen ocassionally before, for the past 3 weeks its a daily occurance, I also get swollen feet when occassionally. This seems to get worse when I eat well, not necessarily a lot, but just a regular meal. Went to the ER yesterday because I had chest pains along with palpitations, my EKG was normal and creatinin kinase 65 [0 to 170], LDH 218 [240 to 480], tropinine 0.0 Please somebody help. What is happening to me ? What kind of doctor should I see ? Are there any tests that I can request from them ? Will a holter monitor and a ecocardiogram help ? Thanks Anita
