I ended up in the ER after a little bit of brown spotting on Sunday morning. The ER nurse found the babies' heartbeat and said it was 166bpm. Since then with the home doppler we have found the same sound, I also find my heartbeat so I know it is NOT my heartbeat. My question is this. Is there any lower abdominonal sounds or veins/ areteries that make a sound like a fetal heartbeat? I was a nurses aid and am positive the faster heartbeat sound we are hearing is not mine, I'm just worried that it could possibly be something else other then the baby and don't want to get too excited if it could possibly be something else. I have to wait until Tuesday for an ultrasound next week and am looking for some peace of mind. Thank you!
