This has info on this medication. According to this site, Levaquin - (as well as other antibiotics) can cause pseudomembranous colitis. I have had problems in the past with antibiotics myself, and you do need to be careful if you are getting diarreha that won't stop. I would try calling your doctor back again and let her know that you have read that Levaquin can cause diarrhea. You can refer her to that website. Make sure you are drinking lots of water because you can get dehydrated. I agree that yogurt, and acidophilis can be helpful in reestablishing intestinal flora, but sometimes the diarrhea can get out of hand and at times be dangerous. If you don't get an adequate response from that doctor, perhaps call another one. Best wishes, D.N.
