My period is irregular every 3rd cycle. Last cycle was the 3rd, hence, irregular month. It came at day 37. My first and second before this cycle were both 30 days. So it went 30, 30, then 37. Prior to that it went 29, 29, 36. It continues to extend and then go extremely long on the 3rd month. My question has to do with my husband and I trying to conceive. If my last cycle was 37 days (the 37th day being April 15th) and 10 days later (April 25th) I ovulated, (or I had an ABUNDANCE of Egg white cervical mucous) is this inconceivable- no pun intended? On April 24th we had unprotected sex because I started to have signs of egg white cervical mucous that day. The next day I had so much of it that it was overwhelming. I thought our chances of conceiving were pretty good at this point. Today is day 28 of my cycle but day 19 past ovulation (or what I thought was ovulation.) Is my luteal phase too long OR.. did I ovulate too early.. OR is my cycle screwed up because my last month was so extended. For Mother's Day, I took a test (even though it was so early in my cycle, I thought the average luteal phase is 14 days so it should be okay) The test was inconclusive and negative. It was all blue and it had the one line but it wasn't defined normally. Now I'm terrified to test. What do you think and can you help answer my concerns? Thank you, Married, 23, TTC #1
