I have been on Ortho-cept for the better part of 10 years. My husband and I want to start a family so I went off the end of March 2003. I have yet to get my period and am wondering if this is normal. I have taken a prenancy test which was negative. It has been over 7 weeks and all I have had is one day with spotting. During this time I also got a UTI and it was treated with Cypro. Could this have caused a disruption to my cycle? I have talked to my gynocologist who prescriped Progesterone but I was hoping to let my cycle start naturally. Is this delay typical and how long should I wait before getting tested for other possible problems. Before BC I was fairly regular, getting my period about the same time every month.
