I'll try to make a long story short... I'm here looking for similar experiences, advice, comments...I'm not looking for sympathy.

29yo female...dx with pcos 10 yrs ago. Have seen numerous Endos who "ruled out" Insulin Resistance with fasting insulin & glucose (never a GTT or C-Peptide). Irregular cycles corrected with bcp only. Migraines maybe once every other month or so from 1993-1998...which Midrin seemed to help with. Eventually they stopped, so I stopped the Midrin.

On 4/9 of this year I was taken to the ER with sharp shooting pains through the left side of the head, left eye vision blurred, left eye drooping, watering and weekness to the left side of body. ER physician ordered CAT scan, MRI...which he found nothing. Neurologist later explained what I experienced was most likely a small string of migrainous stroke. ER physician had me on Tegretol which I was on for 3 days until blood vessels on chest and stomach went crazy...told to stop Tegretol. Neuro switched me to Topamax.

Have not increased the Topamax from the 25mg to the 50mg as ordered for fear of what ele may happen. Been on the 25mg for 3 weeks now. GP comments that my iron is "through the roof" and to see a new Endo. See a new Endo this past Tues, runs labs for Hemochromatosis...no word yet.

Other symptoms: achiness all over, extremely week, exhaused, confused, diarrhea since Sat, back ache, chest ache, wheezing to the point that I took puffs off my dh Albuterol (sp?) Any thoughts, please? Comments? Suggestions? I think I'm planning to see my GP again....I don't want them to think I'm some looney tune...but something just isn't right. Thanks
